Some of the best memories I have involve marching band: the music, the movement, that feeling of being part of something amazing after performing a really good show. When I started travelling to contests every Saturday to watch my best friend's son march, a couple of nearby newspaper editors asked me to take pictures.
I love catching these young artists caught up in the moment, focused on giving their best performance.
